Overview
Brie Milan Starks, Esq. represents clients in family law matters in Nevada. With a professional background spanning law, social work, mediation, and conflict resolution, Brie brings a compassionate yet strategic approach to helping individuals and families navigate difficult transitions.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Brie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, where she completed a triple major in History, Political Science, and Afroamerican and African Studies. She then earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Her interdisciplinary education continues to shape her people-centered approach to advocacy and her belief that effective representation requires both a strong command of the law and an understanding of the people affected by it.
Before joining Davis and Associates, Brie worked in the Appellate Division of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, where she conducted complex legal research, analyzed extensive records, and assisted in preparing matters before Nevada’s appellate courts. Her professional experience also includes positions at Duke University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, involving equity and inclusion, ADA compliance, policy development, and the resolution of sensitive and complex concerns.
Brie’s background as a social worker and Certified Mediator uniquely informs her family law practice. She strives to ensure that her clients feel heard, understand their options, and remain informed throughout every stage of their case.
Outside of her legal practice, Brie has traveled to several countries within five of the world’s seven continents through both professional and personal experiences. Her travels have broadened her perspective, strengthened her cultural awareness, and enhanced her ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
