I am one of the founding members and Chief Executive Officer of Davis and Associates, Attorneys at Law LLC, a modern family law firm dedicated to providing clear, practical, and results-driven legal representation. With a focus on divorce, custody, and other family-related matters, I built this firm around a simple principle: clients deserve both strong advocacy and a straightforward, transparent legal process.

Having begun my legal career practicing in the greater Chicago area, I developed a healthy skepticism of family attorneys traditional hourly billing practices. I saw first hand the pitfalls of that outdated structure, including but not limited to parties racking up five – ten thousand dollars in attorneys fees fighting over old furniture valued at three hundred dollars. I heard other attorneys asking if they can still charge a minimum of one hour for court appearances when that process might actually be five minutes on zoom. I’ve even seen attorneys bill for hours of work on documents that were riddled with errors, then continue billing the client when they had to go back and correct them.

I realized very early on that I wanted to find a better model. Thus our a defining feature of the firm became our commitment to fixed-fee legal services. Unlike traditional hourly billing, which can leave clients uncertain about the final cost of their case, Davis and Associates offers clearly defined, upfront pricing for many family law matters. With set, fixed monthly rates, this model allows clients to understand the financial commitment from the outset, eliminating the stress of mounting hourly charges and unexpected invoices.

By removing financial ambiguity, we have made quality legal representation more accessible to a broader range of clients. Fixed fees empower individuals to seek legal help earlier—before issues escalate—because they can confidently budget for services without fear of open-ended costs.
